Sold into marriage by her father, Sarah discovers she's drawn to the two gunslingers escorting her to her new home. Caleb and Joshua Benedict look nothing alike, yet these twins both make Sarah's body shiver and her heart quiver. When danger threatens, her protectors lead Sarah into the untamed wilderness of Indian Territory. Terrified and torn, Sarah offers herself to the brothers--seizing her only chance to taste love before she begins her sentence of a loveless marriage.

Caleb and Joshua Benedict are twins who've always agreed on the most important things in life, and one thing they agree on is they both want Sarah. When they discover someone's trying to kill her, they know they'll move heaven and hell to keep her safe. 2.5/3 stars?

The plot was actually pretty good, but the ridiculous romance was...um...yeah...ugh.

When you read a Siren book: You get what you get and you can't get upset.

Caleb & Joshua Benett w/ Sarah. While I thought this book had a decent story line & some pretty hot scenes, I'm just not into the traveling stories. But I plan to check out the next book and see what it holds.

And now onto the book. I actually started this at the end of December but then had to put it down and couldn't come back to it til now, so I started again from the beginning and wow. I wish I'd ploughed on and read it despite my illness, because if anything was going to make me feel better, it would have been the Benedict brothers!

The brothers are fantastic characters, very well drawn, and deliciously sexy. They are hired to escort the heroine to the West where her husband is waiting for her. She married him after knowing him for barely more than a few hours at her father's instruction and later discovers her husband pretty much bought her from her father. He didn't even sleep with her on her wedding night and she can't understand why he wanted to marry her, but they are legally married so she is resolved to make the best of it.

During the journey west she falls head over heels for her two protectors, who feel the same way about her. They resist for some time, all three of them respecting her marriage vows, but when it becomes clear that someone is trying to kill her things change between the three of them, especially as it is clear the unknown assassins are getting information from her father or her husband.

The sex scenes are steaming hot and the writing is refreshingly free of purple prose. The men are rough and dangerous but also tender and sexy - a perfect combination. And our heroine is a dutiful daughter and wife but no doormat. She speaks her mind and is definitely an equal partner in the threesome.

I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

VERDICT - 5 out of 5. If you like your romances full of steamy sex and wonderful characters, this one is for you!

This is one of my all-time favorite series. What I love about it most is that the first two books start at the beginning of a family saga and the third takes us to more modern times with their ancestors. What started with Caleb, Joshua and Sarah and also Adam, Warren and Amanda, follows through every book thereafter. The town they start to build on the foundation of love and acceptance, free to live and love as they chose without censure or ridicule becomes a haven for future generations. In more modern times the has thrived under the care of children, grand children, great grand children, etc. and also people who came to the town looking for safe haven of acceptance. I know these books are considered erotic because of the ménage theme but they are so much more. The love, acceptance, the sense of community, the way everyone bands together to take care of each other is what these books are really about. I know ménage lifestyles are considered taboo in todays society and really always have been for the most part but if life could emulate these books, what a wonderful, wonderful world we would live in. To my dying day I will forever wish and dream of living in a place like this. Not for the ménage lifestyle but for everything the town stands and the people who make the town what it is. I so look forward to reading more about the town and her residents. I have read 18 books so far and not a one has disappointed me. Thank you Cara for creating such a wonderful storyline.

Once I decided to just go with this one I enjoyed it. Part of my issues were that while set in the wild west the tone and phrasing seemed to modern, the other issue was how Sarah seemed to accept things too quickly.

I did like how the three of them together and liked seeing Sarah become more aware of the world. I also liked seeing how the brothers friends were right there to help them out and didn't bat an eye at the way things were with them. I especially liked how things ended, mostly because the right person got theirs.

Sold into a marriage to a man that she doesn't even think likes her Sarah is now headed to Texas with two handsome gunslingers as her escorts...Caleb and Joshua are normally very strict with how they treat women, but after a few close calls they can't deny the pull they both feel for Sarah. Can all of this possibility pan out right and what about her husband...amazing intro into a new series I know the first two books aren't really considered part of the Lusty series but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way...onto the next

I started this series from the beginning because some of the later books caught my eye. This book however was lack-luster. Maybe I wasnt in a historical mood. You really do have to be in the mood for "oh I dont know what an orgasm is". *eye roll*

Overall it set the series up well. I am going to read the next several just cause I am a touch OCD and dont like skipping around in a series. With that being said, while I did like the book somewhat I still caught myself skimming through parts of it so I could get done.

Takes you to the very beginning of how the town in the series was found and the values it was founded on. The story is filled with intrigue, a little mystery and of course a lot of love. Sarah is everything a woman would need to be in the west - gotta love a woman who speaks her mind. Ms. Covington grabs your interest from the beginning and holds it to the very end!

An enjoyable, well written story but not quite enough to really get myself involved with the characters. Having said that the story's resolution is a good one and a nice way to tie up loose ends.
