The book is very in-depth and I'm learning a lot about something I never got to learn anywhere else. (the last two chapters take in forty years of history though, whereas the others took in ten years at a time--it seems like author got tired of the subject and crammed the rest all together).

This book suffers from a very weak selection of pictures. Whoever picked these shots seemed to have deliberately zeroed in on the worst work in the photographers' portfolios.
