Thanks to Stuart Buchanan for his incredible efforts in researching and recording the stories behind the people of the Bustard Head light station as well as all his physical work in restoring and rebuilding this beautiful place for us all to enjoy.

Thanks also to the late Shirley Buchanan for her exhaustive efforts to save the light and the station so that we can all continue to learn about all it’s history, both tragic and compelling for years to come.

This was an interesting read and was well researched. I think the isolation for the families that lived there, particularly the earlier days would have been very difficult.

I found the part about the final days of the lighthouse less interesting but the rest was very enjoyable.
