With easy-reading text and 47 color photographs, maps, and panoramas from select overlooks on the South Rim, you'll waste no time familiarizing yourself with the canyon's world-renowned features.
Nice book with awesome design, gorgeous photographs (the subject for sure adds to this) and easy content. So convenient to refresh the rememberings on trails and viewpoints and also learn something new about the history of the vicinities. The thing that really strikes is that the story of the developing of the trail system and all the infrastructure took a lot of time and effort. Probably knowing all that I will enjoy being at Grand Canyon next time even more) it's a pity though the authors didn't dig into geology of the region nor take an effort to make landmarks of the landscape more recognizable. At least I won't miss Alligator, but it would be cool to see and recognize all other peaks.
My souvenir from our trip to the Grand Canyon for my 25th birthday. Marked off all the places we went while there and learned a bit more from the places we visited. Nice photos and short but sweet comprehensive guide.
