This was an interesting and fun book to read. It is broke into five subjects,such as political, love, old proverbs etc. these quotes are anywhere from 20 years ago to hundreds of years. I am sure some readers have already heard. The back section of proverbs a lot are by Aesop. I found myself writing down some of my favorites. like "In order for three people to keep a secret two must be dead" Benjamin Franklin. or "Man is the only animal that blushes or needs to"Mark Twain. or "Worry gives a small thing a big shadow" Spanish proverb. or "Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful" Ann Landers.
I liked how many of these quotes had mini lesson of life. some were serious. others humorous. A nice collection of quotes in one nifty book.

It’s just a book of quotes. Some are a little to trite for my tastes, though I did personally save a few for my own reference. Ultimately, books like this are kind of losing their place, what with the existence of the internet.

Great book for finding just the perfect quote when you need one for a speech or an article you are writing. I found that it had quotes from some of my favorite people. I also had some surprises of "I can't believe he/she said that!"

Agonizingly trite. The author also cites Voltaire as promoting the view that “this is the best of all possible worlds,” thus revealing that he hasn’t read anything by Voltaire.

You don't say well someone did

I am just going to say this was just enjoyment to read. Many off the quotes I have seen other places, but it is good to read them again and have them for reference. If you are looking for a book of quotes to get inspiration from then this is a book you should look at.

I really enjoyed this book. This book is a series of wise sayings from famous and not so famous people. I've heard of a minority of these, but most of them I hadn't. The wisest quote I thought was, "forgive everyone everything before you got to bed every night." That brings me a lot of peace.
