Cicely Mary Barker was the illustrator who created the famous Flower Fairies; those ethereal smiling children with butterfly wings. As a child she was influenced by the works of the illustrator Kate Greenaway, whom she assiduously copied in her formative years. Her principal influence, however, was the artwork of the Pre-Raphaelites.

This is another of the books based on Cicely Barker's other books on fairies. This one is “Black and white outline pictures ...and reproduced on top quality paper so that felt tip pens or paint can be used.”

The pictures are large, and many of them are quite nice just as they are, but any young person, and even many older ones, should have a lot of fun coloring these in.
