Readers from ages 3 and up will love this delightful board book! It's the perfect complement to the Ladybug Girl picture books. Ladybug Girl is Lulu, a little girl who loves to dress up in her ladybug costume and use her imagination to turn every moment into an adventure. In this board book, readers will learn about the many loves of Ladybug Girl, from climbing the tallest trees to playing with her friends on the playground. And her beloved dog, Bingo, is always by her side!
David Soman hails from a family of artists, and has been drawing since he could walk (over to the kitchen walls to draw on them). He is the New York Times bestselling co-creator of the Ladybug Girl series with his wife Jacky Davis, as well as author and illustrator of Three Bears in a Boat and The Monster Next Door. David, Jacky, their children, and a big furry dog live in New York’s Hudson Valley. When not working on picture books, shoveling snow, or chopping firewood, David is an instructor at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
L picked this out at the library because of the basset hound. It's nice that it is in board book form so F could hold it and play with it as well. I'm not very familiar with this series, but this book was sweet.
Lulu and Bingo are such fun names for Ladybug Girl and her basset hound sidekick. Too bad the story and pics didn't live up to the cool names. Simple story that shows what great things happen when we use our imagination. 🐞🐝
We had a play date at the library were my neighbor read this to all the girls because someone picked it out. I wasn't super impressed from what I heard. However, this is right up Natalie's alley as she loves ladybugs ans has a ladybug costumn. What happened is that we introduced Natalie to this character through this okay board book, then i took out the orginal story. This book is good for that perpose.
This is another board book that details the favorite pastimes of Ladybug Girl. All the things that she love she loves to do best. Along with her best friend Bingo the dog. Again this is for the Kidlette set, age up to 2 or 3, the other books are for up to 5 to 7. By the wonderful husband and wife team who are tirelessly illustrating these wonderful books, I salute you both!
Much like the title, a work seemingly unfinished. We hardly get to understand Ladybug Girl, and what makes Ladybug Girl into Ladybug Girl. Russell Sprague loves... finished books, dogs, and beer. There, publish that.
Ladybug Girl loves everyone. Which is great because we all love Ladybug Girl! Even the board books are endearing and so worthy of reading. My kids can't get enough of these books. Honestly, neither can I!
21 months from Aunt Carol, we're big fans of Ladybug girl and her creativity. Just a couple of weeks ago you spent the entire morning in your ladybug costume too!
Another New York Times Best Seller, but only two stars from me. Aleyda said it was good, so that is "Three Stars" from her. "I Want My Hat Back" is still her favorite!
