Lady Sabine is a gentle lady and is the cousin of Princess Taja. She thought she had found the right warrior to keep her safe. She remembers her father running away from having to fight and protect his family and she seen how Lord Berg ran out of the tournament. She has given him some test and has not passed any of them. She decides to give him one more try.
Lord Berg is a golden drakon and knows that Sabine is his mate. He just doesn't understand her attitude. When she finds out what Berg did she opens her eyes and realizes that he is really the warrior that she was looking for. That's a good thing because Lord Berg wouldn't have given her any other choice.
I like how all of the books in this series are about the same characters and you get to see what is going on with the old couples while reading about the new couples. I just wonder how they get to have the sexiest dreams about each other.
I really enjoy each and every story that I read from this author. She writes about so many things and you know that you will never be disappointed.

I have to admit, that I didn't enjoy the second book as much as the other three in the series. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as exciting either.
Sabine is looking for someone to keep her and her people safe, after having experienced what it is like to be unsafe, when she and her mother were deserted by her father.
