The Art of Navigation

Rate this book
Felix Wolf describes his time as an apprentice of Carlos Castenada and his own journey into an expanded consciousness. He gives practical advice for those wanting to learn the art of navigating life.

The Art of Navigation examines the author's life-transforming association with the enigmatic shaman and anthropologist Carlos Castaneda, from a first encounter in 1980 up to the present, more than a decade after Castaneda's death. Journey with a modern-day shaman's apprentice on his more than thirty year trek across the globe, from hedonistic beginnings towards surrender and awakening, from a focus on magic and power to the emergence of love and compassion. The central theme of this memoir is the art of navigation, which entails living life in the spirit of an enchanting treasure hunt - playful, intuitive, fluid, and fully aware.

This is a MAGICAL book written by a Teacher (using the word in its true sense) whom I know personally, who actually worked side-by-side with Carlos Castaneda. If you do not know who Carlos Castaneda was, you probably owe it to yourself to read this book. And if you DO know who Carlos Castaneda was, I barely need to mention that this is a book you will definitely want to buy, keep, and refer to, for a long time to come.

Victor Sanchez's first book, "The Teachings of Don Carlos: Practical Applications of the Works of Carlos Castaneda" and this book, "The Art of Navigation" are two books that literally have life-changing potential.

I'm excited already by this quote in the introduction...

"We might ask: 'What do I want to do with my life, and how can I get the most out of it?' Or alternatively: 'What does life want me to do, and how can I find out?' In the answer to the last question lies the art of navigation."

I wrote a new Carlos Castaneda review with the name "The Science of Seers". It has a different perspective comparing Modern Science and the wisdom of the Shamans of Ancient Mexico and also the religion while touching all the main existential questions of human beings. And for me, it puts the writings of Castaneda to the right place as it has never done before. If you could take a look and read it I will be pleased.
