This book was okay to flip through but not inspiring or motivational in any way. In fact, I have been to a few of the gardens mentioned in the book and the illustrations do not reflect the beauty of these places at all! I think, this book suffers from an underwhelming photography. Illustrations are not bad but do not make you want to visit. This is a large coffee table book - heavy and has good quality paper . However, I would not buy it for my coffee table. I borrowed a copy from the library and returned it next day disappointed.

I'm thinking the author and I disagree about beautiful gardens. I didn't see many that would be on my list. Where was Piet Oodulf's work?
