Hayfest A Holiday Quest

Sue Ellen, that famous cow who loves to eat bluebonnets, is on a new quest. This time she thinks everyone on the farm ought to celebrate her special holiday, Heyfest. To her dismay, she learns the other animals have their own special holidays. The chickens have Wormarama; Max the longhorn bull has Hornapalooza. Sue Ellen can't figure out why they don't all celebrate her holiday. Finally, she convinces them to help her with a completely new holiday, Family Farm Fest Day, so that they can all be together for one celebration. The story is a wonderful way to help children realize that everyone has special holidays and they aren't all the same.

Great lesson about being inclusive during the holidays...but it doesn't hit you over the head with morals.
