Errrr......this was a super inappropriate children's picture book. My mistake, I probably shouldn't have read this book for Story Time. We had a discussion right away that the "book" could say dumb, but "we" weren't allowed to say or do the bad things that might happen or be said in the book. The kids understood the concept and acted appropriately. I mostly would do a lot of fake gasps and say "well, that wasn't very nice!" and they would

This book is part of the "Dumb Bunnies" series by Dav Pilkey. His clever, comical and crazy stories are great grasping student's attention with a simple story that is unpredictable. The little things that Pilkey adds in like the dialog puns and twists in the story are great for students to try and catch on to. The best part of the stories however are the illustrations. There are also puns, clever additions or side jokes solely on the illustrations on each page. As a class, I would read the book ...more
They're dumb. They're bunnies. At the zoo. What is there not to love?

My kids have all taken a turn with this one. Perennial favorite. Time for my last little human to give it a whirl. I'm sure he'll love it too. It is also a really sneaky way to teach your kids about order and the incongruity theory of humor. So, educational too- ++!
Kids will get a kick out of this story of the Dumb Bunnies going to the zoo. Silly bunnies. Everything is backward, they get everything mixed up, and it causes all kinds of commotion.

My boys (ages 5 & 9) love the Dumb Bunny books. As a parent, I hate using the word 'dumb' so we substitute it with 'silly'. My younger son loves to figure out what is wrong in every picture.

Examples of what the book is like . . .

The Dumb Bunnies went to the zoo and saw a bird standing on a sign that said 'elephant'. Baby asked what it was. Poppa said, "Duh. The sign says 'Elephant'" Momma said, "I didn't know elephants had wings and feathers." Poppa said, "Me neither. We sure are learning a

The Dumb Bunnies Go To The Zoo is one of the 4 Dumb Bunnies books by my 7 year old son's favorite writer of all things silly, Dav Pilkey. "Sue Denim" is a psuedonym. Say that fast 3 times. Anyway, it is just as silly and fun to read as all the other Dumb Bunnies. In this installment, our goofy and bizarre bunny family goes to the zoo and mayhem soon follows. What fun! My kid has Asperger's and these book make him smile, heck, he throws his head back and laughs so hard he gets the hiccups. Thank ...more

Momma Bunny is really dumb. Poppa Bunny is even dumber. And Baby Bunny is the dumbest bunny of all. Join these silly rabbits for a little monkey business at the zoo, and watch them really go ape. The Dumb Bunnies may make a mess (or many), but they always have lots of fun! This book is “too dumb to win an award,” but it is too funny to pass up. This book could be on your classroom bookshelf next to The Stinky Cheese Man.

This is the only book that my boys actually begged me to buy for them! I ended up getting the whole collection of Dumb Bunny books. These books hit that weird/gross kid-humor right on the head. For example, Baby Bunny names his new pet "kitties" Pee-pee and Wee-wee. My kids would laugh so hard at that part they would actually start crying and gasping for air! Out of all four books, this one is still the favorite.
