After "viewing" the book, I found its title quite misleading. I bought this book thinking I would be getting a lot of information about the development of Asian countries but it turned out to be a lecture on how the development of most Asian countries have affected the environment. Not that I am not concerned with the environment, it's just not what I expected from how the book is presented. Basically, the book's content is mostly made up of pictures from different parts of Asia and some narratives which can easily be found in the internet(conventional wisdom about Asian countries). Just not my type of book.
