On Valentine's Day, SpongeBob makes the biggest, sweetest valentine ever for his best friend, Patrick. But when a herd of chocolate-eating scallops threaten the valentine's arrival, SpongeBob has to come up with a new plan. Can SpongeBob save the day -- and the citizens of Bikini Bottom -- before the disappointed Patrick loses control? Find out in this new book based on the special SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Valentine's Day."

This children's chapter book is based on the first half of Season 1, Episode 16 of SpongeBob, where SpongeBob planned the 'World's Greatest Valentine' for his best friend Patrick. Patrick was very excited about the gift when but when things don't go as planned... it left Patrick feeling heartbroken and (hulk-level) angry!

Like the previous book in the series, this is a quick and easy read that young readers won't have difficulty with. Unlike the previous books in the series, it does not follow the same title as the episode it is based on. I'm not a big Patrick fan, but I do like that SpongeBob takes his best friend's Valentine's Day business meticulously. This is SpongeBob we're talking about, because of that, things don't go as planned, and Patrick is displeased at SpongeBob for not getting him a Valentine's gift—even more after he learns practically everyone in Bikini Bottom has gotten a gift from his best friend.
