Every scene seems to contain a dog. (Bad.) Except the one, where they're torturing a cat. (Worse.) And it isn't even set to any kind of rhyme or rhythm. (Terrible.) What kind of children's book is this?

I bet an older child who understands what it says more would like it more, but my 14 month old gets nothing out of this at all. Maybe I'll revisit it in a year or so.
