Who knows more about the human body than a zombie?
All of the critical information kids need to know about the human body, with a zombie twist! From head-to-toe, every human body part will be explored and explained with a combination of illustrated zombies and full-color photographs throughout. Learn how many bones are in the human body, what blood's made up of, how fast fingernails grow, where your dinner goes after you eat it, plus lots of fun zombie facts and tips so you can avoid losing your head (and brains) to one!
Zombie lovers everywhere will thoroughly enjoy Scholastic’s new guide to the human body. Filled with cool facts, detailed illustrations, and lots of gross stuff, this guide is one that will appeal to even the most reluctant of readers. Full-color photographs combined with graphic illustrations outline juicy information from a cell’s life span to how an MRI works. As a bonus, the book is narrated by Professor Zombie who often interjects witty comments about each topic. As in the “Seeing Inside” section, the undead professor comments that an MRI is “like cooking show for zombies,” or in the Skeletal System chapter, Professor Zombie remarks that “jellylike bone marrow” is “good on toast.” The book is divided into ten main chapters devoting a double-page spread to each body part. The book also includes a table of contents, glossary, and index for easy reference, in addition to photo and illustration credits. CRH
Five stars for gross out zombie pic/factoid factor. Three to four stars for non-fic explanations of the parts and systems of the human body.
Won't get this for the elementary school but if I was a middle or high school I'd think about it just for the kitsch factor. Design really is ... too good. Ugh.
Not for the faint at heart. This is a clever guide to the human body. Zombie lovers will love the added information. I especially love the suggestion that vertebrae make great rings for zombies. Some of the pages are a little busy, but this read is great fun.
This is too funny! Your standard nonfiction anatomy book for children edited with hilarious asides from "Professor Zombie". Recommended for boys and reluctant readers.
a good information book for the project i recemend it to people its a normal human body book but filled with tibbets that zombies would say like "GOOD WITH SALT" or "SAVE FOR LAST"
This book was fairly disappointing. Don;t get me wrong, it's a decent overview of anatomy for students, but the zombie aspect almost got in the way. Some of the pages were too busy.
