After a failed marriage, Megan travels to the Australian outback to take up a new job. She is to help run the house at Noongarra Sheep Station and look after the owner's young daughter. But Megan discovers that Noongarra is very different to the little farm in Wales she was brought up on. She also finds its owner, Patrick Malone, to be arrogant and temperamental. And why does he deny his lovely little daughter the love she craves? Soon, Megan finds herself caught up in the affairs of this strange household.
