A brand-new, specially written story about Molly Moon – star of Georgia Byng's brilliant MOLLY MOON'S INCREDIBLE BOOK OF HYPNOTISM and MOLLY MOON STOPS THE WORLD.
Molly Moon’s incredible hypnotic powers have gained her a glamorous existence in New York, where she is often tempted to help unfortunate people improve their lives.
But her well-meaning plan to swap the positions of a penniless young tramp and an arrogant millionaire for 24 hours goes hilariously wrong.
Lady Georgia Mary Caroline Byng, (b. 1965), is a British author of children's books and a former actress. Her first writing was for a comic strip, and her first published book was The Sock Monsters. Byng's best known work is Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism and its sequels, about a girl who finds a book about hypnotism and learns how to hypnotize people. Georgia's first published item was a comic strip for kids from the age of five to seven.
Love it! This Molly Moon book is a lot shorter than the rest, and it's a good introduction to her world if you're not ready to commit to the longer books in the series. Molly is a British orphan living in New York with her pet pug. She has the ability to hypnotize people and has used it to move to the states and work in theater. In this little story Molly has injured one of her eyes, which makes it difficult to hypnotize with her eyes like usual (though she does have a couple other tricks). She planned on resting, but while out on a walk with her dog she sees a homeless man being mistreated by a rich passerby. Molly uses her abilities to help the homeless guy out, but things don't really turn out as intended due to the domino effect. The overall message, however, is to dare to put yourself out there. Fake it till you make it, dare to push the first domino down and keep yourself open to opportunities instead of fearing failure. It was snappy and humorous. Molly is very likable heroine trying to do right, and she's living it up like any kid would dream to.
It's an oldish series, but apparently a movie has been made! No release dates yet, though.
