Let me break this down.
Kyle's dad and brother are the most assholish of all the assholes. They treat Kyle like a slave and the dad regularly beats the crap out of Kyle.
Duncan is the bullriding world champion for the last three years. He kicked Kyle's dad off of the throne and regularly puts the bullriding smackdown on the abusive bastard.

This is a surprisingly tender story of two cowboys falling in love. The 17-year age difference between the two men is handled well, not brushed aside but not agonized over either. After reading a few books filled with angst this one was actually refreshing. Kyle and Duncan look great together and even though there's an age difference what does it really matter? Nothing in my opinion. What these 2 men find together in this story was precious and Kyle is very adorable and very likable. Chase's writing is abrupt and clunky, lacking any grace or flow, which takes the reader out of the story. His dialogue is clunky and awkward. He has some imagination, but his skills portraying his ideas with the written word are sorely lacking.

I read the blurb and immediately wanted to get this book. The story of a young cowboy who falls in love with an older successful bull rider was very appealing.
However, as is often the case, the reality of reading the story fell short of my expectations. It was not really bad but rather bland and meaningless. This is a very nice and comfy novella. There is a bit of drama, but not so much and basically it’s a story of love and good feelings.

I enjoyed the book and the characters, and thought the situation they were in was interesting, but it ended so quickly. I was left wanting more. When Duncan confront's Kyle's father at the end, I thought it was too short an exchange. I wanted more tension, more drama. It seemed like the father, who was very nasty throughout the book, backed off very quickly. That part was a little disappointing. This was a not too memorable story. It was entertaining, and the age gap between the characters seemed natural, but the ever present insta-love was there, and that seemed unnatural. Also, the older main character's dialogue and thoughts sometimes didn't befit his age or experience.

This was a rather fun, quick read with a lovely theme and cowboys what's not to love. Kyle and Duncan have amazing chemistry, I liked how Duncan gave Kyle that extra strength to finally push back and be free. While Kyle was lovely for Duncan, they were just really sweet together I liked the slow development with the long distance and how they took time to build the relationship didn't just jump into it.

Bull riding and romance, what better plot for a book? This book is about Duncan and Kyle. Duncan is a bull rider and Kyle helps his father and brother behind the scenes. The only problem is that Kyle's dad is a major jerk. Honestly, his brother is just as bad.

Sweet, simple, and very straightforward. I quite enjoyed it

A nice story with two good main characters that you can't help but like. I like an age gap between characters so the 17 years between Duncan and Kyle appealed to me.

Nice story. I liked Kyle and Duncan and the relatively non-angsty development of their relationship. Kyle's dad and brother are reprehensible as they are intended to be.

I like age gap stories and this one interesting in the face the Kyle's dad with such an ass and also a contemporary of Duncan. I like T.A.Chase settings, stories, situations, love blossoming and growing as they're described in h* novels. Very few of h* huge literary production is what I really don't like reading and abandoned. This is one of the novels I liked. Simple but actually true and full of credibility, the only thing is lacking in this novel is a little more angst, the two main characters go through acceptation and living together without much difficulties unless the brother's bashing and failed father's threats

Rodeo cowboy meets son of biggest rival. That about sums this book up. An attraction neither one thought would be possible. There is parental and sibling abuse in this book, but it actuall is a very important part of the story. The sex scenes are ok. Mainily a lot of kissing and groping. The story line was good but it really lacked the sexyness of T.A.'s other books.

I loved Kyle's character. Sue me, I have a soft spot for tortured teens. And Duncan was a nice strong character. There were a few mistakes here and there which keeps this from getting a higher rating.
