I'm a huge fan of Kennelly's poetry, and this book doesn't disappoint. It has the added value of having Rebecca Carroll's paintings, so it is doubly enjoyable. The poetry, as always, takes snippets of life and turns them into something beautiful. It's a book to enjoy slowly.
Spotted in a shop in Sligo, where the only copy was shop-soiled, I ordered a paperback edition from Amazon; the melding and mutual inspiration of poetry and pictures being something which has always interested and fascinated me. There is much to enjoy, even though much of it is outwith my experience.
