3.5. It's starting to go a bit too gonzo and ham with it's premise and its having huge cast inflation as we get more Doji and their masters.
The deal with Jealousy in this volume is neat and of cuorse Rune is still top tier. His whole deal is nice even if it's a bit overly melodramatic near the end of the volume.
In my review of vol 1 I mentioned it feels like the story is talking platitudes about good vs evil and what is good or evil. It seems like to waver at speaking platitudes or being a bit above it. Some of the Doji seem to not even talk or explore a lot of their stuff like Jealousy (though I can see that changing) and Gluttony.
Additionally, they continue to push more and more for the mecha fights which are harder to read and I don't prefer. At this point it seems even Takei understands this with people using named attacks for an unreadable splash page and then using more readable panels afterwords to understand what actually happened since its so hard to read.

This was a little weird...
So my understanding of the Doji's is that they can be some form of mech? At least that's what the last chapter in this looked like. It was extremely confusing.
Even more than that? Let's throw about 25+ new characters into this and just start dialogue with all of them. That... That confused me.

Me costó engancharme al principio pero después se me pasó como agua, aunque hay cosas que no me cuadran mucho pero aun así es entretenido, además el dibujo es buenísimo.

Building up nicely, especially with a new player entering the game to oppose our hero. The additional story of Yamato's first day at a new school was kinda funny too.

I'm not sure about this series. Sure, it has things I love in it, like how the main robot boy changes his arms into lions or how the robot boys can change into giant robots to fight other giant robot boys. The problem is that this sort of nonsensical action only makes up about half of the content.

The other half is thing put in there for the fujoshi. I question the logic in this. Ultimo is supposed to be a shonen comic and it's made by the same guy that did Shaman King. Do they think that if boys don't catch on to the series, then they at least have the fujoshi to fall back on?

Only time will tell if Takei will make this a crazy shonen action manga or a manga full of yaoi-bait.

I was impressed again by this manga. The story gets more and more interesting with each volume and the characters are more amazing in each volume as well. I love the fast paced action style of this manga as well as the complex yet understandable storyline. This is a must read for anyone that enjoyed the first manga.

This book was as good, if not better than the last one. a lot more in storyline is explained and a lot more new doji are introduced. It's still hard to believe that all doji are boys, jealousy and that patience one look so much like girls!
