This book is very informative and spiritual. It teaches the true story of Easter and gives the facts given from the Bible. It has very cute illustrations and it teaches very simply why Easter is celebrated. It gives background stories on Jesus Christ and why he was significant. I want this book for my future children.
I have to admit that I am somewhat prejudiced in my opinion of this book. The author is my daughter. But that said, it is charming re-telling of the Easter story coupled with precious artwork. It is a perfect complement to her other book, No Room at the Inn, a re-telling of the Christmas story with artwork by the same artist. It is a wonderful book for that special child.
Jean M. Malone is an author, librarian, and former zoo volunteer. She lives in middle Tennessee with her husband and spends her free time being herded by a very naughty Australian cattle dog.
