The split pea soup is so simple and so delicious! Paired with the cornbread--it's an unbeatable combination of rustic, simple goodness. My whole family loves the cheese biscuits...love this cookbook!

Another sweet hippy book I found yrs ago in a used bookstore that feels in the same vein as my old moose wood cookbooks and others from 30+ yrs ago.
Brings back good memories and good food from a simpler time.

Really an incredibly good vegetarian cookbook - just incredibly good cookbook period, actually. Best quiche recipes. Great soups. Yummy everything. Moosewood - move over.
