Recommends it for: anyone (even thinking of) going to Disneyland
Truly, this book lives up to its claim. Four hours per day saved and so much experienced at Disneyland for it. I also learned about theme park design while I was at it, and the fun writing style is the added bonus that resulted in me reading it cover to cover. PS: There are Unofficial Guides to Walt Disney World as well. Do try and acquire the latest addition, of course.

Sadly the information that I wanted is just not in this edition. It's already a little too outdated - especially the Disney California Adventure parts. There's nothing even hinted about the massive Cars Land expansion and Buena Vista Street remodeling. I'm planning to grab the 2012 one as soon as it's available from my local library.

Very helpful in guiding us through the park, making sure we hit all the attractions without any major lines, and useful tips.
I would say this is a must have book if it's your first time to Disneyland or have not been in a long time.

Yes, I am reading this cover to cover. Why?
Great information on which rides my preschoolers will find scary. Great hotel and restaurant information. Great touring plans. Great preparation ideas. I may be a huge dork, but I'm not going to take their advice and wear a "hip pack".

The Unofficial Guides are probably my favorite travel books; I think they're well written and rather amusing, they use excerpts from real people in the book and they back up their reviews and rating with a lot of research.
