Unplanned pregnancy causes Elizabeth, a 33-year-old disabled activist and feminist artist, to confront her history. "Finger's debut novel is marked by lyrical, searing prose that evokes the strength, influence, and fragility of memory. Funny, stirring, tender, true." --Kirkus ¶"Finger's first novel cuts to the bone and deeper."-- Booklist
I made it to Chapter 10, but it wasn't easy. I could relate here and there, my parents were similar politically, but it was so dreary and depressing. By then I didn't care what happened, a good time to quit.
This book was way to heavy for me. Maybe it's the particular time I chose to read it. I did not enjoy it and did not feel that it came to a logical close.
