A good book for some people. It started out as a retreat program, then became a support group program, then became a book. The result can be intense. There are 17 chapters. each chapter has a story, a teaching, a set of actions to take, some goals to set, Scripture readings, prayers and a meditation, as well as suggestions for further reading. That's a lot! For someone specifically looking for a spiritual guie to life after a divorce, this book may be excellent. I could also see recommending individual chapters to some people. I will not recommend this book to every Catholic experiencing a divorce.

How to follow the letter of the law

This is not a divorce recovery book. This book goes over very specific and legalistic issues related to Catholic marriage and divorce. A mood of doom and gloom and judgement pervades.
