A very nicely produced book of photographs. However, the links to Steinbeck (other than the odd quotation) are not the strongest. Some of the text is of its time and prone to racial stereotyping.

The most amazing photos of Monterey county. I would ride my bike through these hills and even though I don’t live there anymore whenever I open this book I am transported back to my home.
