This is the Disney Bible. If you only want to buy one guide book, then this is the one. It might overwhelm first time visitors but it's packed full of essential information that you won't know about. This is the third one of these guides I've read and although alot of the information is the same, I like to keep an eye out for any new updates I might have missed. It's also very useful for planning the holiday. I do skip some of the chapters because they are not relevant to me. Like 'Disney World with Kids' or 'The Disney Spas'. I normaly skip out the Universal Studios bit but I'm planning to go this year so read up on all the rides. I've been torn with Universal because I really want to go to the Harry Potter land but I have no interest in the rest of the park. However the other park is filled with rides that intrest me. I had already decided that I was going to skip Harry Potter and this book has made me think that is the best choice. Harry Potter sounds like it will be an overcrowded nightmare until the novelty wares off. I'll wait a few years. As well as being an informative guide book, the descriptions of the rides/shows etc are told with a touch of humor thats sure to bring a smile to your face. :) 176 days. The only downside to this book is that it lacks the colour pictures at the start that were present in the 2010 edition.

To get a head start, I've been poking around in the 2011 guide for a while now--especially gleaning information on Universal Studios/Harry Potter World. This guide saved us hours upon hours of wasted time in the parks for our last trip in 2009. I think we will be going in Spring 2012 for 3 days in Orlando and 2 days in Daytona. Excited because we've never been to Universal. Will be our first time to stay outside the parks, which makes me a little anxious, but we are saving a ton of $ that way. Now, you can even get the guide's touring plans through apps for your smart phone! With live wait-times for each ride! Amazing! These guides are stellar. Wouldn't dream of going without them.

I haven't found a more informative Disney guide than this. It is extensive in its reviews of attractions, restaurants, and lodging and for a place like Disney World I find that invaluable. Some people might be overloaded by the amount of information but I used the 2010 version of this last year for my trip and it prepared me very well. Definitely worth either borrowing from the library or investing in.

Disney World for the anal-retentive. In all truth, this book will help us for our November, 2010 trip. They plan out everything, provide lots of information and tips, and explain all the trivial things facing a family heading to Disney World. Let's face it, we all throw $1500-2000 down for this trip, why would we not plan it out.

This book is a little frightening...it might even be TOO type-a for me (which is a hard feat!). But, I am impressed with the wealth of information, and found sooooo many details and resources. It gave me lots to think about when planning our trip, and while we probably won't use the touring guides as published, I appreciate the guidance on how to maximize our trip. So excited!

This book is chalk full of excellent info on the wonderful world of Disney. It is extremely thorough and can be overwelming. I would suggest reading it and then pick and choose the info you want to use. The touring plans we found VERY helpful to make sure we got in all the rides in our visit. Plus, their recommendation for food places on Disney property was awesome!

Long but very useful...tour plans are great and can be catered to who is in your group (adults, kids, seniors). I am amazed that people really need this much information about Disney...but it helps to be prepared!

This is an incredibly comprehensive and detailed guide to All Things Disney. The parts I found particularly helpful were the step-by-step touring plans, the comments from many, many past WDW visitors, and especially the section on traveling with children. Don't leave home without it!

We actually have the 2012 version, but I can't seem to find it listed on Goodreads yet.

I haven't yet finished it, but what I've gone through so far is easy to follow and chock-full of tips. (We'll have to see how useful said tips are once we're actually at Disney in another week.)

While this book can be useful in describing rides and hotels, some of the information is dated....or just plain wrong. Use it as a guide, not gospel.

I read the brand new, 2013 version. Now I'm all set! I don't think there was anything that the authors left out of this big ol' brick of a book. Pack up the car, I'm ready to go!
