Easily adaptable, these designs will give hints about new aesthetics for seasonal versions as well as more interesting use of colors to create exciting pieces and inspire a new generation of crochetiers.

I actually had a couple of these patterns already, and when I saw this book on the library shelf wanted to see what other patterns from this maker I might like.

My favorite patterns in this collection remain the whale and octopus, which I've made several of. I also love the sloth. This might be my go-to recommendation for people asking where to start with crocheting, especially if they struggle following video tutorials. The step by step breakdown is very clear and concise, and she makes great recommendations for how to use things around your home and reduce consumption, as all crafters know that's the hardest part of any hobby to balance.
