Truly a treasure to own. I keep it open on a new page each day to appreciate. The box that it comes in is itself a delight reminiscent of the "doors" installation in the exhibit at the Asia Society that spawned the creation of this book. In fact, it offers much more than the exhibit itself did and gives a better look at his work, especially the small sketches done on graph paper, than Lullaby Supermarket did.
A phenomenally beautiful book-as-object, with a slipcase cut out to reveal vignettes from the covers, great printing and paper and design, and of course the wonderful art of Yoshitomo Nara (unless you don't like him, in which case why would you be looking at this book?). Four interesting essays and an interview, plus captions, make up the text. This is one I return to sometimes, and it never disappoints.
