if I could give this six stars I would! It helps to be a climber. It helps to have spent time in Scotland. It helps to have a sense of humor. But this collection is so good it should overcome lack of any of these!

Comprising two sets of stories ('The Ridiculous Mountains' & 'Nothing So Simple as Climbing') a collection of humorous tales concerning climbing and hill-walking in the Scottish Highlands. In the same general tone as 'The Ascent of Rum Doodle', the humour is gentle and the style 'marmite' (you'll love it or you won't).
