My son has autism and emotional regulation has been a difficult concept. We have been through a variety of therapies but this provided the visual aspect that he needed for us to talk through and teach him the ideas. On challenging days we still use the visuals for both size and color to help reference his feelings. For awhile we even made a smaller version of the chart that we laminated and put on a key ring that he could wear on his jeans belt loop so that he could point to the emotion he was feeling before he had more language. Definitely worth the money in our situation.

Some of the strategies for handling feelings in this book were great, but the interventions designed to help kids identify, understand and scale the intensity of their feelings were pooh. I knew we were in trouble when they put an equals sign between the "sadness" you feel when you scrape your knee and the "sadness" you feel when your dog dies.

A workbook designed to help children with aspergers identify their current feelings, describe them and react to them according to the level or the size of the emotion
One of the reviewer said the books works with all children, I don't see why not.
