Secretly in love with each other, Aiden and Chandra married for convenience, dare they hope for more?
When Aiden agreed to marry his best friend Chandra, both knew that it was for convenience only.
When a night out reveals hidden secrets long buried, will it spell the end for Aiden and Chandra’s friendship and their marriage, or will they find a way through?
An international bestselling and award winning author of sweet contemporary romance, Kathleen's novels showcase thought provoking plots and strong emotions that have been likened to a Hallmark movie. Featuring feisty heroines and strong heroes, where everyone gets a happily ever after.
One of my favorite tropes is the best friends who secretly love each deeply have to marry each other. Oh, this one had everything I loved including a little miscommunication but I needed Aiden to do a little more wooing. He pined for Chandra for so long, the great gesture was missing for me.
I definitely would read this author again.

This book should be called "Wooing Her Husband" because she (a virgin!) literally made all of the moves to pursue, propose to, and seduce him while his responses were hot + cold. His excuse for rejecting her is always the same: he "loves" her too much to...actually express his "love" to her verbally??? Show her that he's attracted to her as more than a friend??? The entire book makes no sense. They claim to love each other, but neither of them actually demonstrates the qualities of love. Then, they "suddenly" fast-forward into their happily-ever-after. The only thing that I liked about it is that it's a quick read (took less than an hour to read!). I wouldn't recommend this story to anyone.
JESUS: “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! ' (Revelation 3:15-16)
'If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.' - James 1:5-8
'Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. ' - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

3.5 stars. Aiden and Chandra, the lead characters, married when Chandra’s mother threatened her with an arranged marriage. Both characters have loved each other for years but neither wanted to take the risk of damaging their friendship for a potential romantic relationship. Now, however, they’re finding that living together is making their attraction stronger…
This short story is dual POV, and simply written friends-to-lovers romance. Most of the trouble in this story is due to miscommunication. It is a light, Hallmark-style romance. I enjoyed reading it as a light break between heavier, darker stories.

Chandra and Aiden are the perfect friends to lovers story. Aiden has been in love with Chandra as long as Chandra has been in love with Aiden. And the road that got them to the dance floor is a beautifully, orchestrated misunderstanding that can only be fated by the gods.
I love that the story was not drawn out and just enough history was given so that you know the story behind their friendship and the reason for the marriage.
Wonderfully and beautifully written.

There is a lot packed info this steamy novella. It could have definitely been lengthened to give more details, but it was nice as a novella, too. It is only 11 chapters & I was able to read it in less than an hour. As a bigger woman who has always had self-esteem issues, I completely understood how Chandra felt. I liked getting both POVs and that they got a HEA. Thanks for another great story!.

I've read several books written by Kathleen Ryder; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story is about Chandra & Aiden; they have been best friends for a long time and end up getting married for convenience without knowing that they have really been in love with each other for a long time but when hidden secrets are revealed it causes problems between them.

Best friends since elementary school. When they need they are never without each other. Great storyline. Now all they need is to actually talk to each other. There is conflict. There is resistance to the inevitable, which of course is love. Characters are hesitant even though they’ve been friends forever. The truth comes in many ways. Good read. Short read. I. Thought it was going to be longer I would not have minded if it was.

***2.5 stars*** The execution of the plot really could have been better. The connection between Aiden and Chandra never felt strong. Instead, Aiden, especially, seemed confused as to what he wanted and wanted to do about Chandra. It left Chandra trying to figure things out; although, at times, she could be a bit frustrating, herself
Again, overall, just ok.

A great concept, an arranged marriage between 2 people secretly in love with each other. How they overcome the heartache and misunderstandings is the theme of this book. The characters are nice people and you are rooting for them to be happy together throughout the book. There is not as much wooing as I expected from the title but nice as a short read.

Aiden and Chandra are longtime friends. When Chandra's mother talks about an arranged marriage for her, Aiden comes to her aide, and they marry. They both have secretly been in loved with each other but never acted on it. This story is heartfelt and drew me into as I cheered for them to get their chance for happiness.

The threat of an arranged marriage moves Aidan and Chandra to marry to keep her mother from forcing her into something she did not want. It helps that they have loved one another for years. So it is not surprising that proximity and a commitment, whatever it starts out to be, would lead to more. This was a short read that was fun.

I like so many different genres and am always looking for new authors. Kathleen is a new author to me. I like that in this story they are best friends to are in love with each other but are never sure how to really admit their feelings. There is so many twists and turns in the book that will keep you guessing on what happens next. Such as do they get a HEA or not.

Chandra is conscious of her size and never imagines Aiden would love her romantically. Boy does he prove her wrong. Strong, passionate, and determined to win her heart, he pulls out all the stops to get his girl. Short but steamy, this story will set your e-reader on fire!.

Good premise but not executed well. The story seemed more concerned about the steamy scenes than the development of plot and character. For claiming to be in love with his wife, Aiden seems too confused to really do anything about letting her know how he feels.

This is fantastic, quick, fast paced read where we meet Chandra and Aidan best friends who have married for convenience. What they both don’t realise is that they both actually have real feelings for each other. Romance, drama, suspense, intrigue and a whole lotta miscommunication and you really want them to get their hea.
This started out as a cute story of best friends who marry for convenience. Unfortunately, it deteriorated at bout the half-way point into total erotica: not my type of book at all. It would have been advisable to give potential readers some indication of this in the blurb!.

This was a cute story that shows you that love can be found even with your best friend. Chandra believes no one can ever love her. Aiden believes differently, however he makes a big mistake and has to rectify it. I enjoyed this book.

This short book began by exploring the developing feelings of a couple who had married for convenience. However it unexpectedly changed to a much more explicit story, which I wasn't prepared for and which was not to my taste.
