This book serves as something of a sourcebook for the planet Beta Canum, one of the most important planets in the French Arm of Human space. There's plenty of good info to use as a base for building a larger story set on or around the world. There are also three adventures that can be played separately, but are intended to be played in order (in fact, they're really intended to be played in order, with the The Tricolor's Shadow from the basic rules as a lead-in). I don't think the scenarios are going to set the world on fire or anything, but they're not bad and with some work could probably be pretty good. After finally getting a chance to play the new(ish) Alien RPG, I'm definitely thinking about using those rules to run a 2300AD game. If that happens, this'll be a good book to have.
A sourcebook and adventure to the colony world of Beta Canum, the only human world apart from Earth to have a "beanstalk"--a space elevator--to stationary orbit. Fun adventure and decent introduction to this colony world, although more on the world would have been nice.
