How much trouble can 10 sleeping armadillos cause a small town? You will be surprised! Obsessive- compulsive mother armadillo loves straight lines, even numbers, and punctuality; little does she know that her family’s camping trip will lead to such disorder. This book will make for a fun read aloud for parents, teachers or librarians. As always Steven Kellogg’s illustrations are remarkable and greatly add humor and character development to the story.

One of my fav. children's books- too bad they don't have the cover image because the drawings are the best part. It's illustrated by Steven Kellogg. A lot of cute armadillos being mistaken for other objects.

My kids just love this book. It is quirky - to say the least - about a mama armadillo who takes her 9 children camping. Antics ensue. But we read it over and over and over again and are delighted every time. The illustrations by Stephen Kellogg are charming.

Numbers, lines and adding permeate this story of 10 Armadillos on a camping trip and all the trouble they cause while sleeping curled up in a ball. See if you can keep track of all the Armadillos on their roly poly adventures.
