An important topic, and not a bad execution but not a standout either. A bit dry and text-heavy delivery and pretty basic illustrations. Not one I'd specifically recommend, but one that could be a good support for parents or teachers looking for all sorts of books to broach the topic with children. If you've got a large library with the space, it wouldn't be a bad one to have, but not my first pick either.

There is a great message in this book for young readers regarding bullying - for both children who are being bullied as well as parents whose child is being bullied. Matthew shows the reader that you can befriend those who once bullied you and I think, this is great lesson for children. At the end of the book there are helpful hints for parents which I found to be quite informative. I think that the illustrations were not overwhelmingly appealing for young readers and that is what prevented me from giving the book 5 stars. This book could be utilized in both the classroom and even at home to generate a discuss between a child and their parent(s).

This book teaches students to tell an adult if they are being bullied at school. It shows children what they should do if they were in that situation. They should never keep quiet and take the bullying. It also shows how it is wrong for kids to bully other kids. This book is a good book to read in the beginning of the school year to show the class's expectation on how to treat others. Or it could be use in the middle of the school year to reinforce the expectation.

This is an ok book about a boy getting bullied in school. This book deals with a boy who is getting picked on at school, he finally tells his mother who has a talk with the teacher. Don't want to spoil the ending... but this is a good book to introduce the topic of bullying in school.
