After reading the most recent biography of Elizabeth Elliot, I was not expecting to like or agree with this book by her second husband, Addison Leitch. But it was on my shelves and relevant to Lent, so I decided to give it a go, and I was so very pleasantly surprised. While there were one or two points I disagreed with, overall I thought this book was a wonderful meditation on the week of events leading up to the Crucifixion. I won’t even be donating this book now that I’m done, as I previously anticipated.
