Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 5 offers an in-depth look behind-the-scenes of this extraordinary television show. Author Nicholas Knight provides episode-by-episode reviews along with spotlights on the main cast and several of the recurring guest stars. Also included are highlight segments on the lore for a number of the creatures featured this season: Wraiths, the Anti-Christ, Archangels, Pagan Gods, etc. Additionally, there are soundtrack listings and production photos accompanying the episode reviews. Incredibly informative, as well as entertaining, Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 5 is sure to heighten one’s appreciation for what went into making this exceptional season of the series.

Exactly what you'd expect for an official companion. Episode summaries and commentary, character bios, etc. Includes a section of nice glossy photos. Naturally, it's spoilerific, so if you're not caught up -- like me -- you probably shouldn't have put it on your Christmas list. Still! A nice addition to an SPN fan's collection.

This book is just as it says, a companion to the 5th season of the show. It goes through the individual episodes and then also takes a look at the more prominent characters from the season. You get a very nice behind the scenes look at the show. This is a very nice book for fans of the show who want to learn more about the process and behind the scenes.

I really enjoy these. They are the perfect companion to the series. I love the little factoids that are included, the information about the songs used in the episode, quotes and little inside things that you don't know just watching the season.
I love that I can use this as a quick reference if I have a question.
