The majority of these are drop pull style, which is new for me. I learned that you can melt crayons and do drop pull right on a white (or dyed) egg, and so I did a couple of those. Turned out lovely, but I still like the magic of wax resist, the final unveiling of the wax coming off, and kistka designs. Still, egg-citing to branch out. Sorry. Couldn't help it.

I really like this book. It has a lot of techniques in that I haven't tried. The ones I have done were Ukrainian egg decorating in.

This book has everything from decoupaging, decals, stickers, etc. on the eggs. It has some wonderful photos in the book along with great directions on "how-to's".

I would have given it 5 stars had it had more about the Ukrainian egg decorating. If it had more of that in there it would have been the perfect rounded out egg book.

If you are into egg decorating you should add this book to your collection.

Wow, I wish I could paint eggs like these authors. They should set up a shop selling all their easter egg decorations as I'd buy every single one of them. A great book which details tons of easter egg decoration designs. I just love looking at the pics. Now what crafty person can I give this book to in the hope of them painting me some eggs???

1999 version has a different cover and contains images of eggs like my mom used to make....looks Lithuanian, maybe Czech, or Polish?? 2004 cover is completely different, looking more like Russian and Ukrainian eggs.

These are some gorgeous eggs. I probably wouldn't do them because I don't think I have a steady enough hand. Nice to look at though.
