The writer obviously put a lot of effort into this work. The book is an excellent interpretation of one of the most imaginative writers of the nineteenth century. Although, in reality there is no didactical connection, it’s a fascinating in-depth study; yet at times irritatingly far reaching. I do, however, consider it ‘required reading’ for every Jules Verne enthusiast, me included, as well as all steampunk devotees.
