I love the idea of this book. Little stuffed birds. The instructions are written for experienced crafters rather than beginners.

So cute, but a little outdated because I can do all of these things on my Cricut cutting machine. I still love looking at the pictures

This book is right up any quilters alley. I'm not a quilter but I love birds. If you like them too and have various scraps of fabric, buttons and other embellishments floating around your space -- this book is for you. Can't wait until Spring, I'm plucking a bare branch off the ground, spray painting it bright blue, finding a place in my house and then decorating it with these cute birds. The Little Round Bluebird (pg 44) and Chewy the Owl (99) are my favs but there are other great projects including wallets, quilts, wall-hangings, mobiles and apron designs.

I was in a little birdie frame of mind when I found this cute book. I wanted to make birds for various projects and really liked several of the patterns. There are fat little birds, skinny little birds, birds that are flying and birds that are nesting. Many are stuffed projects, but there are embroidery projects, apron projects and a few other ideas as well. If you like birds, this book won't be a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this as a first craft book for a brand new sewist however. You do need basic sewing skills and some prior crafting experience to understand it well.

There's a variety of crafts in this book from sewing projects to quilting. I made the rolly-polly birdie. I'm not good at following directions. More I see the parts, skim the instructions, see the final product, and jump in. I go back to the instructions if I get stuck. So the roly-poly bird was a good project for me. There is another bird that I want to make, but it will require that I slow down for a closer reading of the instructions. I gave it four stars - bec. I see myself coming back to make more birds.

Lots of cute projects for the crafty bird lover. I like the peacock, the cardinal, the budgie and the doorknob embroidery patterns best, but I doubt I will get around to making them all.

So so cute! I think the next in the series might interest me more, but at this moment I can't remember what it is.
