Not as enjoyable as I'd hoped. It took me a long time to finish it.

Becky is still scarred from her disastrous first marriage that ended four years ago. She definitely doesn't want to get married again, or give her heart to another man. So Becky chooses to have an affair with notorious rake, Jack Fulton, knowing he'll never want to settle down. Jack feels tremendous guilt, but his life literally depends on marrying an heiress. How far will he go to get Becky, the Duke's sister, to marry him?

This story was definitely out of the ordinary, and I like how

Jack Jack Jack *shakes head* It is hard to like someone who is not honest. And I do want to kick him in the nuts.

Rebecka, oh she made SUCH a mistake. Damn girl, that was so stupid. But 4 years later she is a widow wondering if she should have some fun.

They meet. There is lots of passion in their story. They mess up. There is drama. Dishonesty, me wanting to kick him in the nuts. But all in all, they do care for each other, but there is that one big issue that you know will mess it all up.

*Note: Read and reviewed for The Season for Romance.

A Season of Seduction by Jennifer Haymore is the third book surrounding the Duke of Calton and his eclectic family. This book follows Becky (Garrett’s sister) and Jack’s story. Although the book stands alone very well, I highly recommend reading its predecessors because the heroes and heroines from the previous books will make several appearances in this one.

Lady Rebecca Fisk, better known as Becky, has been unlucky in love. At the young age

Full length holiday historical novel, with an independent heroine, Lady Rebecca, and a super sexy hero. The chemistry and sex scenes between the two of them are super hot.

Disclaimer: I'm personally acquainted with the author.

One thing that bothered me a bit, was that the heroine was partially disabled, with a badly healed elbow from a broken bone that caused her pain and discomfort. Only this seemed to come and go... I didn't see it causing her any problems in the sexytimes, and it seems like it

Jennifer Haymore’s A Season of Seduction is book three in her series surrounding the Duke of Calton and his very eclectic family. Now although this is the third book in the series I want to make sure that I say I had not read the other books before it…and I still had no trouble at all following the storyline. Nor did it detract from it at all - which is always a major plus. (It did however wet my appetite for the previous books I have to find out what happened in them! And now I must go and get ...more

his is a wonderfully fun historical romance. This is third book in her series, but I think it can easily stand alone. You will probably want to read the first two, A Hint of Wicked and A Touch of Scandal at one point or another since they are somewhat connected. Lady Rebecca (Becky) has had enough of marriage and sees no point in romance, she wants a fling. Jack looks like the perfect candidate for Becky, but Jack really needs a wife. So, you know where this is going. Except that Jennifer ...more

The first half was wonderfully written- the connection and chemistry between the two leads was fantastic. However when the crises came at last, the writing lost its sense of urgency and did not deliver the excitement or the angst.

This was a perfectly average and okay escapist read. Likable characters, straightforward plot, although it's a bit turned around, as the main characters start off in bed and the courtship and misunderstandings come after. The most interesting parts of the book come near the end, however, with shootings, surgery, a cottage in Cornwall, and escapes on sailing vessels! By the heroine, no less!

Third in the series and a little more annoying than the other 2. Many misunderstandings between Rebecca, who.made a huge mistake in book one and had a very basic issue of trust, and Jack, mysterious and not being honest. Many mistakes later, finally a HEA.

It's the holiday season in historical London so with that setting alone I made a cup of hot cocoa and settled into A Season of Seduction by Jennifer Haymore. This was my first read of Ms. Haymore's and while it is part of a series centered around the Duke of Caldon's family, the story easily stood alone.

Lady Rebecca Fist (Becky) is a young widow of four years and she has one thing on her mind. Free of a marriage that she wished had never happened, Becky aches to feel physically "alive" with a

What a lovely wrap-up to a beloved series. Jennifer Haymore is my hero! Seriously. Although I had read historical romance in the past, when I read the first in this series, A Hint of Wicked, in mid-2009, I truly fell in love with the genre. Then came A Touch of Scandal which I've read various times since I originally read it earlier this year. And now, A Season of Seduction, well, it's like the icing on the cake.

A Season of Seduction is Becky's story. Now if you've read the previous books, you

Bundle up with a wonderful romantic book this holiday season

Lady Rebecca Fisk was a widow looking for a little adventure and adventure was exactly what Jack Fulton needed. Added to the fact that Becky was beautiful, intelligent and rich help Jack justify what he was about to do and the scandal he would create. He was a man with a problem and all he needed to do to resolve his looming problem was to marry into money. He tried to convince himself that he only wanted Becky for her dowry because

Our heroine, Becky, had a really awful first marriage -- she eloped with a man who turned out to be completely different than she'd first thought, and after her husband died, she retired to the country until the scandal died down. Now, four years later, she's back in London.

Our hero, Jack, was also involved in a scandal many years ago, and had left London for twelve years. Now he's returned, and due to forced outside of his control, he's being

A Season of Seduction is the third book in Ms. Haymore's Tristan Family series. I read the 2nd book, A Touch of Scandal (my review here), and really liked the heroine of this book, Rebecca.

As the story opens, Lady Rebecca (Becky) is about to embark on an assignation with Jack Fulton, a sailor recently embarked in London, whom she's become almost intimately acquainted with. Whom she wants to be intimately acquainted with. After the death of her husband four years ago, Rebecca hasn't wanted anyone

This is a delight that will tickle your Christmas fancy for sure. Lady Rebecca and Jack make wonderful character partners and they keep the story innocent and deceptive at the same time. Jennifer Haymore did a phenomenal job on this story line and I'm so glad I got the chance to read it.

Lady Rebecca has been in widow's weeds for long enough now and decides she would like to have a relationship without having all the mess that comes with one. Actually it's more of a tryst here and there and she's

I love historical romance novels and was very excited to receive this from Goodreads. Although this book is part of a series it can be read alone without major spoilers, which I consider a huge plus. I won this book in October but waited until December to read it when I was actually in the holiday spirit. I wouldn’t recommend this as a beach read, but it’s the perfect novel to read while drinking a cup of hot chocolate.

The romance between Rebecca and Jack was already in progress when the book

A SEASON OF SEDUCTION is a treat! I found myself wanting to start over as soon as I finished reading. Rebecca is a very interesting character. If you’ve read the other books in the series then you know that she has gone through some very dark times and still have a positive outlook on life. (It doesn’t really matter if you have read the previous books or not. Each book stands alone.) It took some time for me to start liking Jack. A Season of Seduction is the third book in the Tristan Family series. This is the first book I've read by Jennifer Haymore. Even though this novel is part of a series, you can read it as a stand alone. The author does a wonderful job with providing information from the previous books without bogging down the plot with too much information.

We know that Jack’s intentions towards Becky are not honorable but it was hard to dislike him. He knows that to save himself, he must seduce

I haven't fallen this much in love with a historical romance author since Karen Harbaugh or Elizabeth Hoyt! I can honestly say I will eagerly await books from Jennifer Haymore and devour them once they are mine.

Continuing with characters from A Hint of Wicked and A Touch of Scandal, Ms. Haymore presents Lady Rebecca Fisk to us for further inspection. You see, Rebecca has spent four years "on the shelf" believing she's damaged goods because of her marriage to William Fisk and, damn it!, she's going to have an affair. A glorious affair that will neither infest her body nor her heart. That's what an affair is -- the joining of a man and a woman in undeniable passion. The problem is...Becky has spent four ...more

This was one of those books with a bit of a twist - he's the one wanting to settle down and SHE's the one wanting a meaningless affair! I really enjoyed this book, especially due to the reversed roles in the marriage game. Ms. Haymore spun a lovely tale with very likable characters.

Rebecca (Becky) is a very fragile wanna-be seductress. She's been crushed in the romance department and gun-shy when it comes to the social circles due to the scandal surrounding her marriage and the death of her

This is the first book I read by this author, and I really liked it. It's the third in a series, but it stands on its own just fine.

The author does a great job of showing the characters slowly falling in love, and I really rooted for them to end up together, despite Jack's less than noble reasons for wanting to marry Rebecca in the first place. Rebecca...I really felt for her, she'd
