Val dreams big dreams. Val Truelove dreams of owning the Kentucky horse farm she grew up on and running a wedding venue business. And she prays big prayers. When an answer comes in an unlikely package, her life is never the same. But she must overcome obstacles—an opinionated architect, sabotaged plans, and a revengeful former coworker—to see her dreams become reality. Russ Hunter has to keep his opinions to himself or he’ll lose his job at Prestige Designs. But he can’t see destroying another horse farm, especially since his brother stole his birthright and inherited his family’s farm. When his client suspects him of foul play, he turns to the one source he doesn’t believe cares enough to help—and finds he’s made the best decision of his life. But is that enough to prove his innocence and bring two hearts together?
TERRY FOWLER makes her home in North Carolina where she works for the city of Wilmington. The second oldest of five children, she shares a home with her best friend who is also her sister. Besides writing, her interests include genealogical research through the Internet and serving her small church in various activities.
I fell in love with the characters in this book, and Val’s a strong blessed Christian. She’s my favorite character, I didn’t like Russ at first, but then after Chapter 17. I started to like him, and Opie’s was a wonderful character. I couldn’t stand Derrick, he is rude, and disrespectful. He could of been a better person, but he didn’t have feelings for anyone, but his self. That’s all I will say, this is my favorite book I’ve read so far.
