Recommends it for: only those who want a shallow outline.
These writers are not a good team. One puts in inappropriate cutesy humor, and the other arrogantly talks down to the reader, he thinks they really are complete idiots. These two authors did not mesh, they did not complement one another.

The content was shallow and brief, it was basically a jerky outline. I wanted more depth and more explanation. I wanted a book like "The Idiot's Guide to Complete Digestive Health. But they did get the title correct, the emphasis of "complete" is on the idiot an

Finally, a book that explains my problem! Without going into detail, I was finally able to understand the information on IBS that I've been looking for so long, after being diagnosed. This is a great book for several digestive problems, and it explains them very well. It explains how the digestive system works, how to maintain a healthy one, when to go to a doctor, and so much more. From burps to acid reflux to Chron's, you should find it in here and more. I may be slightly biased since my doctor wrote this, but I think it's a good reference, written in every day language for people like me. :)
