This was an interesting book to read. It was fascinating to see other teen’s lives and learn from some of the decisions they made.

Things I struggled with:

Baby baptism- There is a mention of an infant being baptized in the book, and it appears as though this is completely fine, which it is not. The Bible clearly shows that baptism comes after salvation, and an infant doesn’t have the capability of being saved and understanding it.

Repentance- Many teens in this book had situations they went through were they turned down the wrong path in life (thus the title.. They made a u-turn back to God..). However, I struggled with some of the stories in seeing that the teens did truly turn back to God. Yes, there was a turning from sin, but repentance is twofold. Instead of a 180 degree u-turn to God, I found most of the teens in the book were making 90 degrees turns. These turns were good as they turned from lives of crime, drugs, or immorality, but it appeared that many didn’t take the extra effort to turn completely to God.

*This book talks about many sensitive topics such as drugs, alcohol, immorality, and suicide. I personally wouldn’t recommend to young teens.

This was a book about short stories of the Christian life. It told about all different facets of the Christian life and I found the stories very easy to read and very relatable.
It was written to be used as a devotional but that is not how I read it, I just read it straight through while I was on a women's retreat and found it very relaxing. The stories helped me relate better to my faith and how other's saw through things they were going through as well. I don't believe that I will reread it, but it was good for it's genre and the stories were encouraging.

Filled with so many stories of pain, mistakes, and trauma of the teen life...most turned into something so much better. My own personal experience story, "Extreme Makeover: Life Edition" is published in it.

No matter what you're dealing with, there's probably a story of someone who's gone through something similar. Never underestimate the power of a changed life.
