Answering the Call is a set of devotionals written by a paramedic. As a firefighter I was able to connect with this book immediately. As I worked my way through the devotions I both learned a lot and enjoyed the devotions. They are well written and insightful. I think this would be good for anyone not just first responders, the only caveat is that non-first responders might not understand the rigors of shift life and the stress of emergency response, but the lessons applied here are beneficial for all.
