“Do you think I didn’t know what would happen when I jumped into the stones? That I didn’t know I might never see my life as it was before again. I knew exactly what I was doing, Myra, and I did it anyway.” He took a step back. “I chose to do it anyway.” Her hands covered her arms in a struggle to keep warm. “Why?” “Because of you, dammit! I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”

I am lovin the hell outta this series.
I adore the narrator's voice. He does such a great job with the different characters and accents. Five stars for the narration.

The story is pretty good. This is a continuation from book 1 and I liked it even more. It's a mix of Historical and PNR romance with the focus on Time Travel.

If that's your jam, give it a shot. The series is on Audible Escape and I DO recommend the audiobooks.

OK, we all know I don't read too many straight romances, but for certain authors, I make exceptions. Ms. Bybee is one of them.

This is the second installment for the MacCoinnich clan (Binding Vows was first) and I found I enjoyed this one more, both in the complexity of plot and the depth of the characters.

Part of the fun of Time Travel romances is seeing how characters deal with the unexpected differences of another time period. With the Ren Faire setting in the first book, all the culture shock

I'm enjoying this series so much that the minute I finished Silent Vows I started the third book in the series, Redeeming Vows. Time travel romance is loads of fun when the author doesn't get too fixated on the method, and Ms. Bybee didn't.

There was something appropriate (and wickedly fun) about part of the premise in this book. In the first book in the series, Binding Vows, Tara and Duncan meet because Duncan and his brother Fin have regularly been visitin

Still very good!

Original Review December 15, 2013

Wow, better than the first. Todd and Lizzy are another well matched pair. The time travel is a character itself. The way the characters react to the differences in the time periods is realistic. There is more romance and much more danger. Also, a lot of set up for Fin and Lizzy' s story. I'm loving it! On to Redeeming Vows. Happy reading!
I didn't think that the first book could be topped but I was wrong. I love the book and it is worth 6 stars

Myra is sent into the future because she is in danger in 16th Century Scotland because Grianna is back (the wicked witch)
Myra is supposed to go to Lizzy (Tara's sister) but has a run in with Todd Blakely and decides to leave the hospital with nowhere to go apart from Shelters she chooses the wrong shelter but Sir Todd Blakely saves her.

This is the second book in a time travel romance trilogy. I read this one right after I finished the first, without a break.

I liked the 2nd even better than the first. Here the story is about Myra, who is the sister of the hero in the first book and she is from the past, from Scotland. She has to go to present time for protection from a dark druid woman who needs a druid virgin to break the spell that was put on her.

Myra meets up with cop Todd, who of course is very suspicious of her. She ha

I didn't think it was possible, but I enjoyed this second installment of the MacCoinnich Time Travel Trilogy even more than the first book (and I loved the first book, "Binding Vows"). Myra's (our heroine) reactions to being thrust into the 21st Century from her 16th Century time period were priceless. I loved her character. She was enchanting, yet strong and wise for her age. Todd (our hero), the modern day police officer, was tough, yet gentle with Myra. He was a skeptic, yet willing to listen ...more

I just finished this book! This one leaves you in suspense, so be sure you have the third ready to read.

Love, Love, LOVE this series!!! It is the best I have read in a long time! I can name several authors I love, but Bybee is right at the top of the list! This book has it all! Action, romance, time travel, and suspense, not necessarily in that order.

Be sure to read them in order, while it might not be necessary for some books, this series would be best read in the correct order!

I can't believe it took me so long to find this series. It's one of the best I've read in the genre. I'd be bingeing it to finish quicker but I'm enjoying the narration to much to give it up. I'd go on to the next book, but at some point I do actually need to sleep so it will have to wait a day.

My biggest issue is the way Finley is behaving in the novel. I'm not sure I really like his character. He definitely has his moments but so far he's had a lot more bad ones than good. Liz is definitely t

this series is one that I read quite a few years back and have been meaning to return to for quite some time. I love everything about it. Catherine Bybee always writes a beautiful romance with plenty of action. With these stories, yes, we are taken back in time to a period vastly different from today but the contemporary lifestyle is also interwoven and somewhat enthusiastically and somewhat reluctantly accepted by the Maccoinnichs to provide a strange and accepting backdrop to their lives. This is a great story. All of them. This continuation of Book One blends seamlessly with its predecessor and (FYI-am now reading Book Three) its sequel. You gotta love how all the characters, both past and present, mesh beautifully together, and often humorously. Bybee did an excellent job of creating compelling stand-alone books that immerse you into her story to the point you have to get the next one.

Summary: Myra MacCoinnich is in grave danger. Unbeknownst to Myra’s clan, Grainna was finally able to return to her past life; albeit without her powers in tact. She still must obtain the virgin blood of a Druid in order to regain her full strength, and Myra fits the description. Myra’s mother has seen a vision of the future in which Myra is killed if she remains in this time, thereby prompting the clan to send Myra to Tara’s time in order to save her life.

I am so hooked on the MacCoinnich Time Travel series. I stayed up all night again reading book 2 Silent Vows. The loss of sleep was worth it

Silent Vows starts right at the end of Binding Vows. Myra MacConnick has been warned by her mother Lora to flee and go into the future, where her sister in law Tara McAllistier is from. The Druid Witch Grianna is now after Myra to kill for her Virgin Druid Blood. Tara prepares Myra as best she can for

This was evcen better than the first part in this trilogy.

Freaking Loved It!!!

I just could not put this down read this in one day that enthralling.

Myra is a powerful Druid Virgin and in order to stay alive and keep away from the Evil witch Grianna so as not to add to her evergrowing power, she is sent to the future to be safe.

Myra is a wonderful character, she is funny, innocent, feisty and has a beautiful soul.
Todd is a cop and he is stubborn and suspicious and enraptured by Myra's beauty and I

Here is another wonderful book in the MacCoinnich Time Travel Trilogy, this time Myra is spotlighted. In the last book, we were left with a cliffhanger... Myra travels back in time to hide from the evil witch, Grainna. Myra is given instructions from her new sister in law Tara on how to act when she arrives. She has some explaining to do as she literally lands in the middle of a locked amusement park, but Myra claims amnesia. Officer Todd Blake

I am enjoying the second book in this series. I would agree with others that as this series goes on it continues to get better and grow. Now, with that said, I am worried about the next book in the series being about Lizzy, Tara's sister. In this book she irritates the heck out of me. I am hoping that in the third book she is more tolerable as one of the other reader's said. I can understand some of her disbelief. I can understand her independence as she has come from the future and has been rai ...more

It is seldom you will see me gush in a review, especially historical romance. Well, let the gushing begin! "Silent Vows" earns an unequivocal five stars because it is just that much fun to read!

The story is the second in a series and starts with the heroine, Myra, time traveling from medieval Scotland to present day L.A. escaping an evil that wants to destroy both her and her family. It incorporates contemporary and historical romance then adds suspense, with a touch of fantasy, flawlessly. Even

Clare’s Review

When Todd is assigned yet another Jane Doe case, he doesn’t expect to find Myra, who is so obviously lying about her amnesia. Let alone want to believe the fanciful tale she tells him in bits and pieces.

Silent Vows is face paced and unputdownable. Told from several points of view, it adds rather than distracts from the tension. Myra’s experience of the 21st Century is wonderfully written, right down to never have experienced TV or burgers or hot showers. Filled with action—sword fi

Love this series!!
The way Bybee describes the powers used makes you feel like you are right there watching. I absolutely love every single character.
Even Grainna is amazing in the way she is portrayed.
The romance is wonderful and I love that there is nothing ridiculous that keeps the hero and heroine apart.
This book was done so well. I really enjoyed how we got into the minds of characters that wouldn't be completely focused on until later. The character development is done so well and I love

This has been a great read.
Sadly, I did not know this was a series and only realized it was after beginning to read (which, of course, meant I couldn't just stop and wait who knows how long to find the first book) so I read this without the knowledge of what happened before. I gathered the gist of it, from what they said.
Yet, I still enjoyed this immensely. True, I had details missing, but this was a lovely read nonetheless.

I'd read two of this series before reading 'Silent Vows'. I think I'm hooked! These books manage to take me away from the stress of my life and into the book where nothing else exists. I want to be part of the amazing MacCoinnich family. Can Cian fall in love with me when the time comes please?

After having read two books where people went back in time it was interesting to see the turn around of one of the lovers having to go forward. I think it would be a very different thing to cope with time

Silent Vows is the follow up to Binding Vows. I feel the story improves even further with Myra and Todd. I liked how their relationship developed. There are lot of things happening in this story and it was nice to really get to know the whole family more. We also see how the women are finding their druid gifts more and more and then there is still plenty of action, romance and danger so I wasn't disappointed. Will be reading Lizzy and Fin story in Redeeming Vows, to see how everything turns out.

OMG!! I cannot say enough about this series! This is the second book in The MacCoinnich Time Travel books and I liked it better than the first book, "Binding Vows", which I really enjoyed!! Ms. Bybee is able to make me feel like I am back in 16th century Scotland as I read her books. The characters are great and then there is the nasty witch you love to hate and cannot wait for her to be removed for good ~ she is soooo evil!! If you love historical romance with a twist you will fall in love with the MacCoinnich Trilogy. I am always on the lookout for new authors to read and found Catherine Bybee's series. They are a wonderful escape and you soon fall in love with all of the characters. I can only hope she will write more of their story in the future..a trilogy is so short always leaves you wanting more.
It's for me to know it's for you to find out!
It deserves to have 5 stars.

This book was really interesting. I couldn't put it down! Liz did annoy me in some parts of this book. I think it was just her disbelieving attitude that I didn't like. The 3rd book is about her and she completely redeemed herself in my opinion. She didn't annoy me once. :D
