I just found this on my parents bookshelves, and the title caught my attention since I like mystery horror. It was written for a bit of a younger audience compared to Agathe Christie. A boy goes to a town in Germany to visit his relatives, upon arriving there is a huge storm, and he has a nightmare about a clock tower. Strange events keep happening, and he learns about the clock of doom legend, in which the clock is capable of manipulating time. It can go back to the past or forward to the future, it can cause someone to live a life of misery.

It was pretty interesting, I liked that it was about a kid, and it was up to him to stop some evil force. It wasn't especially suspenseful, but I wanted to know how the story would resolve. I also liked how he had to struggle against the elements to reach his ultimate goal.
