I gave this book a 3 but really, only a luthier would be able to give it a proper evaluation. Most of it was way over my head, especially the parts about guitar construction. The history of the guitar was interesting, and the author's story was quirky but kind of cute. Also it was originally written years ago, this is an anniversary edition, so it is more of historical interest perhaps.
