I wanted to like this one more than I did. I liked the hero and heroine very much and the sex scenes were exciting, explicit and still manged to be romantic. So it worked well as a erotic romance. But as far as romantic suspense, I was disappointed. I felt the plot with someone out to get Jase was not very developed or maybe it was backloaded so I didn't get that suspenseful build up that I would have preferred.

3 and one-half stars. This was enjoyable book for the most part. I was going to rate it 4 stars until the graphic torture scene in the cave which was a little too much for me; it kinda brought the story down a bit. Still, Jace Hudson was a sweet and sexy hero and Kat Martin a likable heroine.
